The Marstins
Our journey at Midway began in the summer of 1989 with our first visit to the church and "tour" of the parsonage. Mrs. Ruby Mason was quick to point out that the parsonage had 4 bedrooms to ensure ample room for children. I could hardly have imagined that two grown sons, one grandson, and 30 years later my name would still be on the church sign. All of this is a testimony to God's amazing grace and to the amazing group of Christian people who make up the Midway congregation.
I would love for you to experience first-hand a place where we realize we are all a bunch of sinners saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. A place where you can be yourself and be appreciated for who you are and the talents God has given you. A place where people laugh together and cry together. A place where God's word is studied and dissected but NEVER doubted. You can call Midway a lot of things, but perhaps God is leading you to call it "your" church. If so we will welcome you with open arms!

Rhonda and Lynn met at Averett University in 1984. Lynn graduated in 1986 with a BA in Religion. Rhonda graduated in 1988 with a BA in Church Ministries/Music. Lynn received his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1989. Rhonda received her Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southeastern in 1990. Lynn completed his DMIN work at Bethany Theological Seminary in 1993. Rhonda and Lynn were married in 1987 and have two children: Mark and Matthew. Mark is a graduate of Liberty University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is an owner and Manager of Colbert Moran Funeral Home. His wife Jessica is the Scheduler of Nursing at Gretna Health and Rehab. Matthew is a graduate of Virginia Tech, Liberty University, and Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His wife Laura is a veterinarian. They reside in Lansing Michigan where Matt is a Resident Doctor at McLaren, Greater Lansing. Lynn and Rhonda have one grandson: Clayton Timothy (12/22/2017) and they are happy to show pictures!!
